Reciprocating Pensions
Service With Related Plans
If you have service with other retirement plans generally in the electrical
industry, that service may be counted in this Plan through
reciprocity agreements. This Plan has two types of reciprocity
agreements. The
first, called "Money Follows the Man", is for those plans signatory to
the Electrical Industry Pension Pension Reciprocal Agreement. It
allows employer contributions for your work in another plan to be
transferred to this Plan.
The second type of reciprocity agreement this Plan offers is called "Pro-Rata
Pension". It allows your service in a related plan to be counted
in determining your eligibility for a benefit from this Plan.
That is, years of service in another plan may be used to vest in this
Plan.
