Health & Welfare - Retiree Benefits
Individual and family health & welfare coverage
is available to eligible retirees. Eligibility and
electing retiree coverage is
decided at the time of retirement.
Health & welfare premiums for retirees are
subsidized by a portion of the premiums paid on behalf of active
participants. The Retiree Health & Welfare Plan is provided at
the discretion of the Board of Trustees and cannot be guaranteed in
the future. Additionally, the benefits and the amount of the monthly
premium may be modified at any time by the Trustees.
Retiree health & welfare coverage is different
than the coverage offered to active participants.
Retiree Health & Welfare does not provide the following:
Prescription drug benefits are provided through the
prescription drug program
administered by Caremark.
Prescription drug benefits for all Medicare eligible retirees,
spouses, and their dependents will be part of a new group Medicare
Part D Prescription Drug Plan (PDP) through SilverScript Insurance
Company, which is affiliates with Caremark. Click on the links

A Summary of Material
Modifications is mailed to all plan participants when a material
change is made to the Plan.
