For Retirees
This section of the website is dedicated to the
retirees of the Alaska Electrical Pension Fund. Serving
our retirees is one of the most enjoyable jobs at the
Administrative Office.
If you are newly retired and eligible for medical
coverage, you should review
Retiree Health & Welfare
as benefits for retirees differ from the benefits active
employees receive. If you are enrolled in the
Retiree Health and Welfare Plan, you must enroll in
Medicare
Parts A & B.
Each January we ask every retiree to sign a
Retiree
Signature Certification Form
which must be signed by the
retiree and notarized by a Notary Public. The
purpose of this form is to prevent fraudulent pension
payments by verifying that you are alive and personally
receiving your pension payment. Failure to return
the form may result in a suspension of your monthly
benefit, so please return the form promptly.
If you choose to return to work following your
retirement, your monthly pension payments may be
suspended.
Please call a Pension Representative at the
Administrative Office
if you are contemplating
returning to work.
